Karen Rapp Bull

Karen Rapp Bull during her exhibition at Cerulean Arts

My exhibit is dedicated in loving memory of my dear friend and painting partner, Tilda Mann. She was a member of the Cerulean Collective, and with her encouragement I applied and became a member, too. We painted together for the past six years along with our friend, Ellen Wilmot, and during that time we forged a bond that nourished our creativity and inspired a remarkable friendship. Tilda, a superb artist, was our inspiration, and a generous, loving friend. We miss her so much.
The paintings in this exhibit reveal my intuitive approach to my work and often represent a visual narrative of archetypal images and symbols. They enter the unconscious mind as metaphors, and when they appear, direct us and grab us with their transformative energy.
As you view my works, I hope you see a story in the painting. It will be your own unique vision, as it is meant to be.
A note about the frames …crafted by none other than a talented woodworker and a supportive partner, Tony Bull. Many heartfelt thanks.
