Learn to draw animals, birds and insects with award-winning illustrator Kate Samworth in this live Zoom workshop!  Kate will guide you through a series of drawing exercises to develop your understanding of animal anatomy, texture and movement enabling you to render a variety of creatures with confidence.  Includes a discussion of the historic role of animals in art.

Saturday and Sunday, February 5 & 6

Materials List 

Kate Samworth is an artist and Kirkus Prize winning illustrator inspired by a love of nature and adventure. She has illustrated books for children and adults and for exhibits at the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC. She holds a BFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with a major in printmaking. She was awarded the Richard von Hess Travel Scholarship. She has exhibited across the US and abroad and is currently illustrating her fourth book.
