Depicting the clothed model allows the opportunity to define character, imply a narrative, or just incorporate fabric and accessories. Explore gesture, structure and anatomy with graphite and charcoal. Demonstration and references will address rendering cloth, body language and the expressive inclusion of hands. Be sure to Meghan’s Cerulean Arts Collective exhibition, on view February 12 – March 8.

Meghan Cox holds and MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a BFA degree with a double major in Painting and Art History from Indiana University Bloomington. Meghan has been awarded several grants including the George Sugarman Foundation Grant and an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. In 2018, Meghan's painting, Miranda, was selected for the prestigious BP Portrait Award competition for exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and touring the United Kingdom.
