Encaustic Painting on Photos with Leah Macdonald, Part 2


Part 2 will expand on the techniques covered in Part 1 and include a wax pouring process, mixing brushing and pouring techniques together and working on a larger panel.

Leah MacDonald is and artist and educator, working with photography and encaustic painting.  Her work is a dialogue between her imagination, curiosity, imperfections and desires, telling the tales of womanhood through form, color and texture. She has enjoyed a varied career in the arts, shooting commercial photography, teaching at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and designing handmade books and wedding albums for the company she founded, Bliss Books.  She is currently the Education Curriculum Director at the Manayunk-Roxborough Art Center.  MacDonald’ is a member of the Cerulean Arts Collective where her encaustic works are available.
