Entropic Landscape, oil on canvas painting by Collective Member Frederic C. Kaplan. H 18" x W 48"
Entropy is the descent of order into chaos. It is what happens when a glass (order) falls to the floor and shatters into a gazillion bits (disorder). Many physicists believe that entropy is why time seems to flow in a particular direction (into the future), and never the other way (back into the past). Entropy is why we never get younger.
