Larry Francis is a Philadelphia native who has painted the city in oil and gouache for many years. He holds a Certificate in Painting at PAFA, where he was awarded a J. Henry Schiedt European Traveling Scholarship. He has received numerous awards and has appeared in New American Paintings. His work is included in many public and private collections, including the Noyes Museum of New Jersey, Woodmere Art Museum and the Federal Reserve Bank, Philadelphia. He is represented by Gross McCleaf Gallery, He can be seen in the short film by John Thorton: Larry Francis: Painting Philadelphia.
