Use India ink and watercolor to create drama and mystery from nocturnal and low-light subjects. Learn to develop a drawing on rag paper from photo references then layer ink and watercolor to develop a deep, rich surface. Use gouache to bring light back into your painting for contrast.

Michael Kowbuz believes that human creativity deserves to be nurtured, and he has been compelled to seek roles in which to facilitate that effort. He is the co-owner Cerulean Arts Gallery and Studio, and the Director of Continuing Education Programs and adjunct faculty at PAFA. He holds a MFA from PAFA, and paints, draws and makes prints.
