Photoshop as Artist's Tool with Laurence Bach
Learn to use Photoshop creatively! Using your own photographs of architectural details and nature, learn to distill the essence of a photograph, then layer and manipulate imagery to create and print engaging photo-collages. Students should bring their own laptop equipped with Photoshop and have basic knowledge of the program. Be sure to visit Bach’s Cerulean Arts Collective exhibition, on view November 13 – December 8. Laurence Bach incorporates photography, drawing and Photoshop manipulations in his art, combining graphic natural forms with playful paths of light to create fantasy landscapes. He is Professor Emeritus at the University of the Arts where he served as Chair of the Graphic Design Department. His photographic imagery has been published in many publications and exhibited in numerous one-person and group exhibitions nationally and internationally.
