Learn to print without a press!  Explore monoprints, the painterly approach to printmaking that combines the spontaneity of painting and drawing with the process of printmaking. Learn additive, subtractive, and trace monotype techniques using Plexiglass, Gelli printing plates and water-based inks with stencils and masks. The instructor will demonstrate all techniques and supply the materials.  Experience the moment of magic and surprise when you pull a print and see the results of your effort!

Bill Brookover is a member of the Cerulean Arts Collective.  He is a printmaker who uses traditional printmaking techniques of screenprint, relief, & intaglio along with cut paper and collage. Born in West Texas, he started his artistic career in architecture & fine arts at Rice University. After graduate studies in historic preservation at Columbia University, he worked for over 30 years in architecture and preservation with the National Park Service. He began studying printmaking at Fleisher Art Memorial in 2003. He has shown his work in solo, curated and juried exhibitions. He has curated exhibitions at Da Vinci Art Alliance and the Free Library of Philadelphia Print and Picture Collection. He teaches printmaking at Fleisher Art Memorial and leads tours of print collections. He serves on the Exhibitions Committee at Da Vinci Art Alliance. He is a member of Second State Press, The Print Center in Philadelphia, the American Color Print Society, InLiquid, and the Philadelphia Center for the Book.
