Alice Lesnick
In painting I enjoy an interplay of initiating and response, following a current that comes through the process. Along this current so much happens! What makes a doorway where one isn't already encoded? There's freedom from relying on words to find out, not that language doesn't play a part; it does, but more breezily. Constraints draw me to find a way through, which, though it can be narrow, gives onto a view I sometimes want to consider by sharing. I am not painting experience so much as allowing and creating experience along the seams.
