Cerulean Arts is pleased to present Color of Light, curated by Philadelphia mixed media artist Mikel Elam. The exhibition features seven artists with different visions: Peg Curtin, Bruce Garrity, Noreen Scott Garrity, Mark Green, Wanda Payne, Marta Sanchez and curator Elam. Each tells their own unique stories through observation and imagination; landscape and architecture; abstraction and figuration; the linear and non-linear. The common thread uniting them is a vision of light and color. We all have access to lightness and darkness in life. Every awakened moment we view light and color on surfaces. Within our dream life we imagine light and therefore color in more surreal terms. To capture it is another state of being. Each artist understands the places our senses guide us and will take you on a journey into a complex realm of observation, fantasy, memory, and storytelling. We simply need to follow the light and color with our eyes and feel the enchantment of the sacred spaces they each inhabit.
