Dora Ficher
My new body of work is a reflection of childhood memories at my grandparents’ summer home in Mar del Plata, the beach town in Argentina where I spent my summers. It was an idyllic time: getting sunburns the first few days and then turning tan for the rest of the summer, rolling in the sand, jumping in the waves and having many adventures with friends and family. The ocean, the beach, the warm sand, sunrises and sunsets, and my grandparents’ gardens full of flowers, it was a long time ago but those memories are ingrained in my soul.
