Laura Marconi

Laura Marconi

Art to me is an expression of an inner world. It is a search with endless questions of life's mysteries. And with new answers there are new questions, a new personal growth. It is a difficult, challenging and exciting task.
I'm interested in my connections with nature, the solitude, the silence, that space between reality and dreams, and relating with people from different cultures. I’m also captivated with the changes that occur with the passing of time, both in myself and in this world. The concepts of identity and home play a big role in my work because I was born in Rome, Italy, and I emigrated in United States. I went on to study at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, graduating as a painting major.
