This series entitled ‘Landscapes’ centers around a fantasy landscape and the interruption of nature forms. As most artists, I have always been fascinated by landscapes but felt they were too obvious and almost trite. Once I found a way to make them my own, I could not stop using them as a background to stage my imaginary objects. Water, sky and sand all found their way into the frame and housed the leaf fantasies I invented. To talk about the wind, again a trite element, I used fabric, which flies through the landscape and bends around the nature forms as it pleases. So these surreal landscapes represent the coming together of nature forms that have been my visual language throughout my life.
