Introspective Retrospective of Ink Drawings
None of the drawings in this exhibition are new. While making new drawings during this past year, I continued to study my previous drawings from which I learned a lot, so when I imagined this current exhibition, I decided to show the drawings that taught me what I needed to know in order to continue drawing.
These drawings are thirty, twenty, ten, five, and two years old, but all of them are artistic companions, so I hope they can be seen and understood as a family.
Each of the drawings in this exhibition evolved, dot by dot, line by line from within the infinitude of ink until a semblance of something revealed itself clearly enough for me to stop drawing.
