Rustle: Michelle Oosterbaan & Anda Dubinskis

Cerulean Arts is pleased to present Rustle featuring paintings by Michelle Oosterbaan and drawings by Anda Dubinskis. Oosterbaan’s process-oriented paintings map kinetic passage and investigate Icelandic landscape’s theatres of space. As meditations on cinematic light, her work engages with the ephemeral space of twilight; those seconds which exist in the liminal spaces between the sky and the earth. The drawings of Anda Dubinskis are similar in their generation as they start with a single decorative element and evolve into a complicated response to the initial source. Both fuse space, light and air and create something elusive – a rustle, a breath, the suggestion of something passing.
