See Me, Feel Me, Hear Me
See Me, Feel Me, Hear Me
Laura Frazure & Patricia Traub
May 21 - June 15, 2025
Reception: Saturday, May 24, 2-5pm

Cerulean Arts is pleased to present See Me, Feel Me, Hear Me featuring works by Laura Frazure and Patricia Traub. Each artist uses the communicative power of representational form to highlight important societal and cultural issues. Envisioning the female by a female is a constant in Laura Frazure’s mixed material sculpture. Her figures are theatrical and contemporary, addressing issues including social justice and the commodification of women. Her mastery of human anatomy allows her to model figures at will, without the use of a live model, and push and play with bodily proportions. Working from direct observation, Patricia Traub’s drawings and paintings exist between art and activism showcasing her human and animal subjects with equality. Her indirect painting method and sensitively rendered life studies reference the Old Masters in technique but with contemporary purpose: her underlying context highlighting humankind’s responsibilities to all living things and the environment we all live in.
