My paintings invite viewers to explore the ambiguous space and color of the everyday world. I draw from patterns, places and objects, deconstructing and reassembling the parts to reveal the energy and harmony of the whole. My intention is to look beyond the obvious to uncover expressions within the source. I interpret relationships between geometry, space, value, and color. Beginning with observation, my painting examines the fine line between realism and abstraction.
