Sleepy Drivers
Cerulean Arts is pleased to present Sleepy Drivers featuring paintings by Meghan Cox and Jacob Lunderby. The exhibition evokes a sense of drift between attention and one’s ostensibly fixed physical interactions within the domesticity of architectural space and pastoral environments. Both artists make use of collage influenced painting ideas to explore layers of seeing and representation. Meghan Cox’s paintings on paper stage compositions of window frames with obstructed views. Her hand-painted work incorporates references to artist’s bookplates, collages of pattern, drawings on tracing paper and the verso of her painting’s panel into metaphysical world-building environments. Jacob Lunderby’s digital compositions present mediated images of his parents’ photography sets within the verdant landscape of his family’s home in Minnesota.
